This is a nice article, a reminder to all worship leader (including me)..

Update:

Yeah, I thought and I still believe Xubuntu is great. But my system have problems with it. Every time I shutdown my system, it crashes. Tried to troubleshoot, but can’t find help online even on the forums. The suggestion was to use the terminal to shutdown (which is working). But I don’t think I’ll stick to that.
Currently, I am researching about fluxbox , a windows manager for linux that is low on resources, fas, highly customizable, etc (as per other says). I am planning to use this one for my Ubuntu box. Have to do some research first for programs I can use in it.
I used to dual boot Windows XP and Ubuntu 7.10 before. But due to my curiosity, I messed up with the Ubuntu box. So I formatted the linux partition. I was thinking what distro I am going to use. Something that is not too heavy for the low spec computer we have. I have talked to someone aboutLinuxmint, a distro derived from Ubuntu. But since it is running on KDE, it is a bit heavy for my system.
Then, I decided to settle down with Xubuntu. It uses Xfc, a low on resources, but powerful window manager for Linux. I installed it last Monday. Tested it, and everything is a bit faster than my Windows installation. Internet browsing is fast. Watching Youtube is okay. launching programs is fast.
Though I haven’t yet finished setting up my Xubuntu box (I also need to update the system), I am satisfied with it.
Leaving WinXP in the near future, I don’t think so. There are still programs that don’t run well with Linux. Stay on dual boot for the mean(long)time.
Cheers….
Good new and bad news….
Bad news first…
It disappoints me that some of the teachers in our CE department, for me, doesn’t want to cooperate properly with us. What I mean is, they don’t attend our business meetings. We scheduled a monthly (last Sunday of the month) meeting, They didn’t show up. Even if I announce a week ahead that we’ll be having a meeting, they don’t respond. (BTW, only a couple of them, not all). So we had a meeting last week, even though we’re short of a few teachers. We discussed some plans.
The hard point is my disappointment for some that doesn’t show their commitment for the ministry. I know, we can never give 100% commitment, but hey, show a little sign of commitment! (sighs). I tried not to show or discuss it. But I had to vent. At least my people know what I really feel about the matter. It’s for them to decide now on what action to do.
Good news…. Despite of the said struggles, we were able to establish a plan for our Sunday School ministry. For the following Sunday’s, we’ll be opening a new class, ages 10 -12. I will be the teacher.
2nd and 3rd Saturday of April, we’ll be conducting our own teacher’s training. To be conducted by our experienced teachers for our new (training/assistant) teachers.
We still have people, that despite of business, were giving their time to God for this ministry.
We’ve got to move on…
Soli Deo Gloria
Yes, at last.. I was able to revive my blog here at www.marvincruz.com. And, lo, I was able to import my posts from my old/temporary blog site allforhim.legionhost.com.. Yeah, it is a feature of wordpress to import/export blogs.. but I didn’t tried it. Well, that’s the solution for my problems.. hehe.. don’t be afraid to try…
Now that I have my blogsite up and running again. I’ll be posting more frequently now..
God bless..
Soli Deo Gloria…
