Freehostia (http://www.freehostia.com) is a good web hosting company. It’s the only hosting company I saw with free hosting without any banners but still with complete utilities you need for website (PHP, mySQL, etc). Haven’t tried their paid hosting yet but I think that would be better. I did experience glitches before but since they relocated their data center,  I haven’t experienced any problems up till now. (No, I am not paid by posting this).

I am planning to move to paid hosting soon (hosting 2 sites actually). I might not be able to use freehostia then (since I don’t have a credit card) cause I am going to use on of our local web hosting service here in the Philippines (I can pay them via a local payment method).

Any way, this restriction for outgoing connection will affect my RSS feeds. Meaning my RSS feeds won’t work any more and anyone (if there is ) is subscirbed to my posts, they won’t receive any updates.

Got to get to paid hosting as soon as possible.

Dear Customer,

This is just a reminder that from tomorrow (16 of Dec 2008) all free hosting accounts will be unable to make any outgoing connections to remote servers. This is valid for customers using our free hosting service only. If you are using any of our paid plans - you will be still able to make outgoing connections.

We are forced to do this, because of too many abusers, hacking many sites over the internet. Our data center is forcing us to take actions and stop those abusers and unfortunately this is the only way.

If you use RRS feeds or you just need to use the outgoing connections option - you will have to upgrade your plan to one of the paid plans.

Douglas Engelbart created the first prototypes of the now-familiar device in 1963 at Stanford Research Institute, but he first displayed his creation to the public in 1968 forty years ago Tuesday. During that unveiling, Engelbart presented what some have called “the mother of all demos,” outlining concepts that would presage the next 40 years of computing, including the use of a three-button palm-sized contraption called a “mouse.”

Already irritated. So back to the old template. Currently designing my “own” template.

Set it up last Saturday and everything was fine. I can now do pending jobs I have to finish.

Next stop… get a new processor, mobo and memory…

Been part of this ministry for a few times when our seminary band played/performed in a couple of campus evangelisms they had.

If I am a Presbyterian (therefore asssumed to be an advocate of the ‘Reformed Theology’), does that make the Baptists or Pentecostals my enemies?….

It’s disturbing to see when Christians are more concerned to defend their “theology” against other donominations “theology” instead of sharing the “True Gospel” to the people who hasn’t yet heard it…
