During the ancient days (Old and New Testament times), dreams are very important. Dreams back then have important meaning. For believers, it is a way of God communicating to His people. And for pagans, it’s an omen or a sign. Today, for most of the people, is a sign (a superstitious sign). They interpret it as a sign of what number they would put on their lottery, who will be their partner, etc. For science (psychology), dreams are considered as an action of the sub conscious mind. It is the frustrations, wants, etc. of the person. Meaning, it has nothing to do with reality. Yet, there are still christians who believe that dreams (though not all) are from God (and sometimes from Satan).
When I was young …..
…. I use to control my dreams. Control in the sense that before I go to sleep, I will start to think of a story and then the story would continue in my dream. I don’t know how it happens but maybe that’s what the psychologists explain.
>>> Weird Dreams <<<
When I was on third grade, I had a dream. I am playing with my classmates and there was this unknown girl playing with us. In my dream, I knew this girl, but in reality, I don’t. Then school started. And to my surprise, I saw the exact girl on my dream. (Duh, she’s not the one that I married, I am not referring to soulmate) When that girl was introduced, she just recently moved to our place. She came from a different town. And I’m wodering if I ever had seen her before so to trigger the dream. But I can’t recall any instance that I met her. And if ever I met her before, why was it so timely that I dreamt of her month before I met her? Weird?
>>> Recurring Dreams <<<
During my teenage years, I had dreams that is very similar. Different locations and situations, but in all of them, I am always doing the same thing.
In one of the recurring dreams, I am always running and my knees are getting very tired that I can’t even stand. Sometimes I am being chased by a person, sometimes I am running for reason I don’t know. And when I woke up, I am tired, and sometimes my knees are even shaking.
So, why do I always have a dream like this…. if I could only talk to Joseph the Dreamer (:lol:
Another recurring dream that I had is a door or window that I wasn’t able to close. This dream sounds funny but everytime i had this dream, I was wondering and my heart is pounding.
Here’s some example of the dream. There is a monster outside the house, I’m trying to close the door. But i can’t close the door because it won’t align with the door frame. It’s either the door is smaller than the frame or it’s bigger.
Why do I always have this kind of dream? The more I try to close the door, the gap becomes bigger.
>>>>>
I don’t experience these dreams now (though sometime I still do, very seldom). I still can’t determine the meaning of those dreams. Are they just my subconscious mind or are they from God or Satan?
I don’t know…..

lucid dreams are controlling dreams (see wkipedia article regarding this), albeit it has side effects like waking up in an infinite dream when every time you wake up things are getting worse, another is getting using dream as an escape from reality, regarding deja vu -like dreams, scientist explanation is glitches in the chemical reaction on our brain that make us feel like it happened before. and/or you think that you dreamt of it but in reality you dreamed a different thing but becz of the “brain chem glitch” your brain was rewired that make you think that it was all correlated. one thing is almost solid fact is that dreams are run by our subconscious mind.
eyow! i had weird dreams also. One of them was when i was on a retreat with my highschool classmates and the nun askes us to close our eyes to listen to a supposed-to-be-letter of Jesus to us,. the moment i did, i seemed to be running fast along a twisting lane and there is but a 2-ft wide path that i run to. Either side of the path is filled with bamboo trees or hedges. All I know is i can’t stop and i’m very tired. The moment i open my eyes, i get dizzy. I am sitting when this is happening and i don’t think i’m sleepy so it was very weird for me. I kept opening my eyes because its very tiring and yet d moment i close it, i’m transported back to the lane. The very second d tape of the letter finishes, i snapped out of the dream. isn’t that weird?
